16 companies with high growth potential including DAEHAN i. m. are expected to invigorate the Chungbuk economy

Outstanding star company that will contribute to driving the goal of the Chungbuk economy, accounting for 4% of the national economy, were chosen.
On June 8, Chungbuk Province announced that it selected 16 small and medium businesses in the province as 2019 Chungbuk Star Company.
The Star Company project aims to provide support in corporate management and technology, technical innovation, and commercialization of R&D for small and medium company operating in Chungbuk with an average revenue of KRW 5 to 40 billion for three years, 5% growth of sales for five years, and the share of R&D investment being over 1%, thereby raising them as globally strong businesses and 300 World Class Company.
Selected companies are engaged in upstream sectors such as smart IT components, bio health, and transport machinery equipment, with an average revenue of KRW 12.3 billion, average exports of KRW 1.8 billion, and R&D investment of KRW 450 million. The selected 16 Star Company include Sung Chang Co., Ltd., 3A Co., Ltd., Shinhwa IT, Sanjeon Jungmil Co., Ltd., DH Co., Ltd., Haehyun High Tech, DAEHAN i. m. Co., Ltd., Cham Sunjin Green Vegetable Juice Co., Ltd., IWIN Co., Ltd., HanLab, Sungwon Medical, RET Co., Ltd., Kukbo Science Co., Ltd., Thomas Cable, Cobon, and Hanbaek Food.
Each of the Star Company will receive supports of project expenses of up to KRW 36 million for one year and entrepreneurial growth consultation for three years (up to five years), as well as assistance for technology commercialization and marketing for exports through various programs and project managers to address their difficulties in terms of technology and corporate management.
Kim Sam-gyu, Manager of Strategic Industry Division of the province said, “Star Company, with great potential for business growth and job creation, were selected through assessment of requirements and content of presentations, and on-site examinations, and we will offer various supportive programs to help them build capacity and foster an innovative ecosystem of regional businesses so that Star Company can lead the efforts of Chungbuk Province’s goal to become 4% of the national economy.”
